Imagine Decks, Balconies et Fences Enr. was founded in 2004, when Mathieu Lacroix was studying in business at Concordia University. While looking for an outdoor summer job, Mathieu decided to start and incorporate a small patio construction company. This idea had been on his mind since 1997, when Mathieu built a patio linking his mother's house to the pool. Armed with a drill, a round saw and a jigsaw, he invested himself in his mother's patio project with determination. With the help of his grandfather, he worked on the project all summer on a part-time basis and has learned a great deal since then.

In 2006, the company experienced new growth. Mathieu's classified ads, word of mouth and perseverance helped the company flourish. It was at this time that Entrepreneurs Imagine Enr. (Decks, Balconies and Fences Imagine Enr.) obtained its specialized contractor's license from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec and is now fully engaged in the exterior wood structure and renovation markets, mainly in the carpentry sector.

In 2009, Entrepreneurs Imagine Enr., now Imagine Entrepreneurs Inc. (Imagine Decks, Balconies and Fences Inc.) obtained its general contractor's license from the Régie du Bâtiment du Québec. Mathieu's experience and many larger-scale projects have enabled Imagine to become the successful and specialized company it is today.

Several building architects, landscape architects and landscape companies in the Greater Montreal area refer and collaborate with Imagine Decks, Balconies and Fences Inc. The company is now recognized for the quality of its project execution, sustainability of its structures, innovation of its constructions and expertise in the products it uses.
