Oriental painting interiors.



Painters and decorators apply paint, wallpaper and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces of buildings and other structures.



We work for construction companies, paint contractors and building maintenance services or self-employed.



tasks

As a painter and decorator, here are the elements that can fit into your functions:



application of paint and other materials such as dyeing, lacquers or varnish, using brushes, rollers or guns

surface preparation and cleaning

removing old wallpaper and peeling paint

repair cracks and holes in the walls

mixing and dilution of the paint

measure, cut and lay wallpaper or fabric on the walls

assembly and erection of scaffolding

providing advice to customers on color matching and wall coverings

presentation of cost estimates

reading specifications to determine the amount of materials required

Working conditions

The standard work week for painters and decorators is 40 hours (eight hours a day, five days a week). As with many construction jobs, there are peak periods that require overtime. The amount of overtime you will have to do will depend on your industry and the region in which you work. It will also vary from one contract to another. If you paint outside, your schedule will vary with the weather conditions.

Salary: $ 20.00 to $ 30.00 / hour
