We are hiring one full-time, senior account executive reporting to the VP of Sales. You will be responsible for revenue generation and account management in a specific territory. You will be selling Peerio’s secure communications (end to end encryption) products and services both directly and indirectly through channel opportunities. At Peerio we listen and adapt to the needs of our clients, as a senior AE you will not only ‘pitch’ our products as-is, but more importantly ignite new business to business relationships. Our current prospective clients include law firms, law enforcement, business firms, journalists and other enterprises or institutions who depend on highly secure modes of communication.

Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is both a self-starter and a team player. We need someone who can communicate well and collaborate with our team.  Someone who is excited to learn about new technological solutions to current online privacy concerns. Peerio’s products are complicated to create, but simple to use; we need a sales person who can understand what we make and explain what we do to professionals outside of tech in a way that matters to them. Our ideal candidate is a teacher, but not a preacher. Someone who learns quickly and can integrate new information and adapt to change.

Requirements (must haves)

  • English Language Proficiency: this position requires a high level of oral and written communication and content in English.
  • 8+ years experience in enterprise software sales
  • Sales Process: In depth understanding of enterprise software sales process
  • Organization: we need someone who can prioritize and organize leads for maximum efficiency
  • Self Starter: Working in a start-up environment requires motivation, drive and a very strong work ethic
  • Adaptable Learner: we are working on next generation security; you will need to stay up to date on the newest changes in this field via news feeds, blogs and/or podcasts. We also adapt to the needs of our clients, and the AE should be someone who can learn quickly, integrate new information and adapt to enterprise changes.

Assets (nice to have)

  • Usable customer list: The ability to contact clients from past position(s)
  • Salesforce.com: Familiarity with Salesforce CRM is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of Market: direct familiarity with Peerio’s target market (law, journalism, health and large firms) and sensitive knowledge of their needs is a strong asset
  • Technologically Savvy: literate in end to end encryption and security issues, that is a bonus!
  • French Language: we operate in Montreal, so spoken French would be an asset, but not necessary
  • Driver’s License
