Our client, a fast-growing company, is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated individual to join their team as an Accountant. This is a temporary term position with a one year contract with the possibility that it becomes permanent.

Main duties and responsibilities

The Accountant will prepare financial statements, reconcile bank and investment accounts, and manage cash flow. The incumbent will also analyze financial data, ensure monitoring of the company’s assets. More specifically, he/she will:

• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting;
• Review and document all inventory processes involving reception of goods, tagging, replenishment, valuation, and month-end counts;
• Complete month-end accounting activities;
• Perform various analyses to assist in improving financial results;
• Report on sales, gross profit margins, and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting or Administration;
• Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) title, an asset;
• Five (5) years’ experience in accounting;
• Bilingual (French and English), essential;
• Strong financial analytical skills.

Work conditions

• Term: temporary contract of one year with the possibility that it becomes permanent;
• Schedule: 37.5 hours per week;

The incumbent may work from home or at the client's offices. Note that the position requires some travel (all travel costs are at the employer's expense).
