SUMMARY

Reporting directly to the Supervisor, Operations, you will carry out various administrative tasks related to administrative accounts payable, billing, general accounting and inspection of accounts. The Corporation uses the SAP Business by Design accounting software. Good knowledge of SAP is therefore a major asset.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Check General Ledger account postings for bills for accounts payable;
• Check and approve administrative accrued liabilities;
• Bill and track accounts receivable;
• Reconcile deferred revenue;
• Charge work back to business partners;
• Prepare bank deposits and provide allocation of payments;
• Annually review prepaid expenses;
• Reconcile holdbacks on contracts;
• Check the report on expenses incurred by directors and management;
• Assist the Analyst and Supervisor, Financial Operations;
• Check T1204 forms for suppliers;
• Prepare end-of-period and year-end audit files;
• Perform accounting checks and provide explanations;
• Create files and follow-up tools as needed;
• Help prepare sales tax remittance reports;
• Perform bank reconciliation;
• Carry out other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

• At least a college degree in finance or accounting, plus ten (10) years of relevant experience in financial accounting or a relevant and equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
• Excellent working knowledge of ACCPAC, SAP, and Outlook;
• Advanced knowledge of Excel;
• Ability to work in a changing and growing environment;
• Thorough, detail- and control-oriented;
• Analytical skills, good judgment, practical approach.
