Job Description :

The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating the daily functions and tasks of the AP team. In addition, the individual will lead, manage, and, train the department to meet the strategic needs of the organization.

Task and Responsibilities :

  • Supervise, train and manage accounts payable team;
  • Assign task to clerks and perform follow ups;
  • Review, monitor and balance reports;
  • Correct any errors found on documents submitted to Accounting before releasing data for updating permanent records;
  • Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations;
  • Monitor staff performance through review of system generated reports and manual logs;
  • Researching & resolving major charge-backs, billing and payment issues;
  • Facilitate better team processes.

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • CPA certification;
  • 4-6 years direct experience in an A/P capacity;
  • Ability to accurately calculate, post, correct, and manage accounting figures and financial records;
  • Fluently bilingual in French and English, written and spoken;
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; as well as Simply Accounting (AS/400);
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines;
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy;
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills;
  • Experience in gathering data, compiling the proper information, and preparing financial reports.
