Built/Release Specialist

Description

Our client, Equisoft is a prime system integrator for the Oracle Insurance suite of products for Fortune 500 insurance companies. Equisoft is currently looking for highly motivated, goal-oriented candidate to join the company as a Build & Release Specialist

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the database scripts used to perform full or partial code migration
  • Manage the OIPA deployment packages in the Rules Palette (in cooperation with the configuration/tech leads).
  • Develop procedures to automate various systems and tasks (e.g. automating code builds and deployments) with Maven, Bash, WSLT, Python, etc.
  • Develop tools to help automate the build and release processes
  • Maintain and enhance the continuous integration environment
  • Plan and oversee the steps necessary to build, test and deliver the releases to the clients:  code freeze, unit-regression-integration tests, installation and deployment
  • Manage the source code (branches, labels, versioning, etc.)   in the VCS system (GIT) and the artefacts in the release repository (Nexus)
  • Document the releases: components, prerequisites, installation steps, rollback procedure, etc.)
  • Develop and execute the smoke tests in the target environment to validate the proper installation of the release
  • Ensure that the releases are properly archived
  • Package and install the new versions of OIPA and BPM\SOAP, including the patches, service packs, etc.
  • Troubleshoot the technical issues in the local/remote environments

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with build and release management (5 years +)
  • Previous experience with continuous integration servers and tools (TeamCity, Jenkins, Hudson, , etc.)
  • Scripting: Maven + Maven plugins, WSLT, Bash, Python (nice to have)
  • GIT, Nexus
  • WebLogic 11G/12C
  • Oracle Database, SQL Server
  • SQL, Java (nice to have)
  • Linux: Oracle Enterprise, CentOS, Redhat
  • Oracle SOA/BPM (nice to have)
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Must be able to communicate with the client (emails, phone)
