Description

Our client, EquiSoft is an IT consulting services firm specializing in the design and development of business solutions. Their Financial Services department is growing rapidly and they are looking for an experienced business analyst who has work experience in the Insurance industry with backgrounds in Insurance. 

We are looking for a talented candidate who is a good communicator and a team player, and who will be passionate about providing business solutions for our clients. Working directly with the client, the users, the implementation team and the firm’s management, the business analyst is an active participant in the project implementation. 

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Facilitate discussions between clients and developers to identify business requirements
  • Translate customer requirements in specific project studies
  • Identify options for and evaluate potential solutions for both technical and commercial pertinence
  • Collaborating in the preparation of project proposals and engagement documents
  • Collaborating directly with development team to deliver projects on-time and on-budget to the client’s satisfaction
  • Manage client and user expectations and assist in priority management
  • Collaborate with the users and the quality assurance team to establish appropriate test scenarios

Required skills and experiences:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of: Business, Mathematics, Finance or Computer Science (or equivalent education/experience)
  • 5+ years’ experience in business analysis
  • Experience in the Insurance industry
  • Ability to manage priorities and stress
  • Ability to consolidate diverse business requirements and facilitate realistic, common sense solutions
  • Proven ability to interact effectively and professionally with clients
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft programming languages
  • Knowledge of project management basic concepts
  • Understanding of the software development cycle
  • Experience and interest in using the Agile methodology
