Business Intelligent Product support and administration

The core responsibilities of this role include:

• Integrate/roll-out/administer/sustain/upgrade our installations of (1) Qlik Sense and QlikView on Windows as well as (2) Cisco Information Server on Linux.
• Ensure products are configured properly to meet the necessary security, supportability, and performance requirements.
• Investigate & troubleshoot root causes for issues that occur both with the product and in the data center infrastructure.- Escalate tickets to the vendor as necessary.
• Participate in support rotation and occasional weekend work- Create, review, maintain and update documentation.
• Work with our users to understand their needs and define how our products and infrastructure will meet those needs. - Disseminate knowledge among colleagues.
• Participate in design and implementation activities with members of the team.
• Implement proof-of-concept prototypes.
• Active participation with team and must provide constructive feedback to colleagues when necessary.

Skills Required

• 3+ years of experience in a technical support environment
• Experience in supporting and administration of middleware software systems in an enterprise setting.
• In depth knowledge of the following technologies: Windows OS / IIS, Linux OS, networks, storage (SAN/NAS) and web technologies (HTTP, SOAP, REST).
• Scripting experience in one or more of the following: Linux shell scripting, PERL, Python, or Power shell.
• Good SQL skills.
• Ability to write technical and operational documentation (system design and engineering documents, operational run-books).
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Skills Desired:

• QlikView and Qlik Sense dashboard development skills.
• Installation and packaging of applications.
• Experienced with Java-based middleware applications
