Children's Apparel Design Manager
The primary function of this position is to be the head of our client's team.
This entails:
- Creating new styles
- Updating existing styles
- Tech packs
- Specs
- Manual size grading
- Living in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Working closely with the big boss
Responsibilities:
- Trend & Analysis
- Driving all new product development
- Executing all flat sketches / fabric print design / apparel development inclusive of garment specs
- Able to manually grade specs/designs
- Work quickly and accurately in Photoshop / Illustrator
- Responsible for the creation of all apparel spec / tech packs
- Assist with factory communication process
- Entrepreneurial Spirit
- Able to Juggling multiple responsibilities in a very fast-paced environment.
- Task-management skills
- Organizational skills are a top requirement for this role.
- Knowledge of design from concept through to finished garment
- Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years experience in apparel design & technical specifications, experience in eCommerce, apparel, or children's a plus
- Adobe Photoshop / Illustrator mastery with ability to design line sheets / tech packs
- Background in of design, specs and apparel manual grading (preferably childrens)
