We are currently looking for a Credit Specialist to support the accounting department through managing the credits verification and registration in accordance with internal policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Registers weekly invoices, credit memos and debit memos and purges paid invoices
  • Reviews collections and registers collection notes when is necessary
  • Updates Daily Deposits Report and verifies the deductions before posting the checks
  • Looks for data to match (e.g. aged versus check)
  • Reconciliates Daily Deposits Report with Accounting Reports
  • Creates new accounts as per requested
  • Obtains the W9 numbers and preserves the hard copies
  • Collaborates closely with Accounts Payables to ensure the data accuracy for invoices (correct address, email info, etc.)
  • Provides a permanent checking of the Insurance (Coface coverage)
  • Ensure the preparations of necessary spreadsheets to enable a smoother preparation of future accounts
  • Verifies the terms versus PO’s (purchasing order) and/or check details
  • Maintains the Terr Group
  • Prepares the credit memo’s to cover RMA’s (return of merchandise authorization) and the necessary paperwork for each RMA
  • Processes the confirmed merchandise forms (CM’s)
  • Verifies at least twice/day the Hold report in order to release the orders that can be shipped
  • Increases the credit lines as needed
  • Updates Coface coverage in the ERP system (Epicor)
  • Maintains the Coface binder with hard copies up to date
  • Performs collection calls for certain accounts whenever required
  • Strives for continuous improvement of procedures and processes concerning credit management.

Qualifications:

Education: DEC in accounting or any other relevant background

Experience:

  • Past experience with credit/collections, preferably in a manufacturing environment; 
  • Experience with credit memo’s and invoicing

Software:

  • Proficient in Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Epicor represents an advantage

Other:

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication (written and oral) skills;
  • Excellent attention to detail and consistent high level of accuracy;
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as with a team in a fast-paced environment and with time sensitive deadlines;
  • Open to and comfortable with constantly evolving and changing priorities and new challenges.
