Data management specialist

Our client, a leading distributor of automotive products, tools and equipment for the automotive aftermarket in Canada and the United Kingdom, is currently seeking, to continue its growth, for a specialist in data management specialist.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the systems and data management director, you will have as main mandate to support the systems and data management team by participating in the management and application of established processes for optimal and secure use of data. As such, you will :

• Responsible for the creation, validation and the modification of Corporate Data in the systems, including vendor data, as required ;
• Ensure the integrity of Corporate Data (Products, Suppliers, Customers, Pricing Conditions, and Sites) in SAP, PartsWatch and related systems ;
• Ensure management and distribution of the Corporate Data for the different Business Units ;
• Work in close collaboration with different departments (Products, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations) ;
• Use and exploit the best practices available to manage and maintain Corporate Data ;
• Inform the relevant departments and Business Units of Data changes ;
• Provide ad hoc system reporting or updates needed as a result of changing and evolving business requirements ;
• Troubleshoot defined data management issues ;
• Perform every other task compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

• DEC in administration or any other relevant training ;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role ;
• Excellent communication skills in French and English, written and spoken ;
• Proficiency in SAP data management using different modules like MM and SD ;
• Experience with PartsWatch POS system a plus ;
• Advanced knowledge in data analysis (Excel, Access, SQL) ;
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities ;
• Possess a strong work ethic and make optimal efforts to complete tasks ;
• Organizational and time management skills.
