Driver (delivery) / Warehouse person (Bilingual) – Pointe-Claire, QC

PGW AUTO GLASS, ULC  is a large distributor of aftermarket automotive parts.  We have immediate openings for 1 DRIVER (DELIVERY)/WAREHOUSE PERSON, for our facility located in Pointe-Claire, QC. 

SHIFT – Day shift – an 8-hour shift scheduled within the hours of 7:00 a.m and 5:00 p.m. depending on market demand.

DRIVING LICENCE AND RECORD - Our delivery vehicles are full-size “Econoline-style” vans.  A valid driver’s licence (regular - Class 5) and a clean driver’s abstract are mandatory.  EXPERIENCE AS A DRIVER IS AN ASSET.

PROFESSIONALISM, COURTESY & DEFENSIVE DRIVING - Our drivers are expected to be professional, courteous and defensive drivers at all times. Although our deliveries are to be made in a timely, efficient manner, proper driving habits take precedence over speed of delivery. Driver safety training is provided for new employees and reviewed periodically.

DELIVERY ROUTES - Delivery routes may be repeated multiple times per day.  Depending on local operations, drivers may be assigned certain routes and take those routes every day, or the route assignment may change daily or rotate on a predetermined basis.

PROFESSIONAL APPEARANCE AND BEHAVIOR - A driver will often visit a customer several times each day. Our drivers are expected to be our ambassadors. Professional appearance and behavior is essential. Our drivers are expected to be courteous and helpful to our customers and to follow up with their supervisor on any concern or comment that they may hear.  This type of feedback helps us maintain a competitive edge.

DELIVERY ACCURACY - At all points of delivery, care must be taken to ensure that the customer gets the correct parts. The shipping order must be given to the customer and the customer must sign the log sheet. Since there are many differences among our customers, pricing information is considered to be extremely confidential and is not to be shared by the driver from one customer to the next.  This requires care in safeguarding customer information at each stop along the route.

WAREHOUSE WORK

Some warehouse work will be necessary, such as picking product and putting away inventory.
