Electrical and Automation Project Specialist

Our client is a manufacturing company specializing in the design, manufacture, and installation of equipment made for ski resorts, drawing on an international client base. They are currently looking for an electrical and automation project specialist.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Vice President, Engineering, your job will be to serve as a technical expert for all things related to the electrical / control and automation aspects, as well as designing electrical / automated systems and programming PLCs for various pieces of equipment manufactured by the company.

• Design electrical systems and automated control systems;
• Supervise the automation and control team;
• Supervise the assembly of control panels and electrical components and help out with factory tests;
• Help implement assembly systems and provide after-sales support for electrical components;
• Select the necessary technology for each project and ensure that it is fully compatible;
• Program PLCs and user interfaces;
• Start up and troubleshoot equipment / systems on site for clients;
• Work on project development and continual improvements;
• Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automated production engineering, College Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electronics or other relevant education;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
• Fluent in spoken and written French and English;
• Highly knowledgeable of programmable automatons;
• Well-acquainted with alternating-current electric motors and starters;
• Proficient with the MS Office Suite and MS Project;
• In good shape physically;
• Able to travel outside the country on occasion.

Bachelor in automated production engineering , Bachelor in electrical engineering , D.C.S. - Electrical engineering technic, D.C.S. - Industrial electronics technology
