Electrical designer / draftman

At Aesus we design, fabricate, assemble, test and install packaging machinery (labelers, fillers, cappers, conveyors, turntables, etc.) for the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, food and beverage industries to name a few.  The company brings together a dynamic team of 100 employees and is located in Pointe-Claire (Montreal).

We are seeking an Electrical designer / draftsman

MAIN OBJECTIVE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Reporting to the electrical manager, the draftsman is responsible of elaborating the electrical plan of the machines. Your main duties will be to draw electrical plans, write the lists of material, and do the troubleshooting and start-ups of the machines. You will need to establish the liaison between the engineering department and the electrical assembly team.

You will need to demonstrate strong teamwork skills and good communication skills.  You will also need to prove that you can take initiatives and be autonomous as well as demonstrate your ability to evolve in a changing environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• College diploma (DEC) in electrical engineering or electronics, or professional diploma (DEP) in electromechanical or technical drawing (or any other related diploma);
• The responsibilities will be adjusted according to the experience of the chosen candidate;
• Have good knowledge of Autocad software;
• Be familiar with leading manufacturers of automation products (engine control, sensor, safety, …)
• Have good knowledge of MS Office;
• Have an understanding of Allen-Bradley PLCs (an asset);
• Have at least a functional knowledge of the English language (written and spoken);
• To be able to work in a team;
• Demonstrate initiative and autonomy;
• Have the attention to detail;
• Be reliable, responsible and available.

WORK CONDITIONS :

• Permanent position;
• Full time (40h/week). The candidate must be able to work a little overtime if necessary;
• Day shift: 8am to 4:30pm (but flexible, can be discussed);
• Possibility of summer hours;
