Our client is a manufacturing company specializing in the production of parts and components for the automotive industry. They are currently looking for an electrical mechanic.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the maintenance manager, your job will be to carry out maintenance on a variety of production equipment, the building, and systems, as well as contributing to various special projects on occasion.

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production equipment and peripheral equipment;
  • Carry out maintenance on automated production components, CNC, robots, and PLCs;
  • Act as front-line support in the event of problems with machinery and get them back up and running as fast as possible;
  • Provide ongoing technical support;
  • Take care of set-up, modifications, repair work, and changing parts on automated devices as needed;
  • Analyze equipment failures, repairs, and upgrades;
  • Interpret hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical plans;
  • Have an understanding of geometric dimensional tolerances;
  • Contribute to the improvement of processes and equipment;
  • Contribute to diagnostics of malfunctions and maintenance of tools;
  • Contribute to the maintenance of production tools;
  • Take part in the implementation of new projects with multidisciplinary teams;
  • Ensure that production operates at optimal levels;
  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

  • College diploma in industrial electronics or industrial maintenance, a vocational diploma in automated systems, or other relevant education;
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in maintenance;
  • Knowledgeable of mechanics, pneumatics, and industrial electronics (automatons);
  • Available to work night shifts (Sunday to Friday from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.);
  • Licence C is considered an asset.
