Electrical Technician (day shift, Monday to Friday)

Our client is a large-scale company specializing in the manufacture of products designed for the building industry. They are currently looking for an electrical technician for one of their plants.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Electrical Maintenance Foreman, your job will be to perform general plant maintenance, and more specifically, work on electrical and electronic components of various pieces of production equipment.

• Perform installation, preventative maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on automated systems, as well as electrical equipment;
• Detect and generate effective solutions for various problems;
• Carry out programming / trouble-shooting on programmable automatons;
• Write up and update maintenance and repair reports;
• See to it that preventative maintenance schedules are respected;
• Help with the improvement and installation of equipment and machines as needed;
• Work in close cooperation with the production team in order to respect deadlines for production start-up and delivery;
• Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

• College diploma in industrial electronics, industrial maintenance, electrical engineering, or other relevant education and training;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
• Must hold an Electrical Journeyman’s Certificate (Licence C);
• Well-acquainted with AC and DC motors, programmable automatons, and automated control.
