Environmental Project Manager

Our client, a well-established business, offering consulting engineering services in environment, hydrogeology and rehabilitation of contaminated sites, is currently looking for an environmental project manager.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Environmental Director, your main mandate will be to manage various environmental assessment projects (Phase I, II, III), environmental rehabilitation of contaminated sites and characterization of sediments, surface water and wastewater. As such, you will :

• Ensure the relationship with the client ;
• Ensure compliance with project schedules ;
• Ensure the planning of site work and the preparation of health and safety documents ;
• Supervise technicians and subcontractors ;
• Compile data and write deliverables ;
• Ensure the delivery of deliverables and invoices to the client by email;
• Perform project budget tracking ;
• Approve supplier invoices and prepare project invoices ;
• Participate in the execution of site work ;
• Prepare work programs and work cost estimates ;
• Carry out every other task compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree in the environmental or nature science field, or other relevant education ;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ;
• Knowledge of provincial and federal ESA-I, II, III regulations (an asset) ;
• Knowledge of environmental site remediation (excavation and off-site management, in-situ and ex-situ treatment) (an asset) ;
• Strong analytical and synthesis skills ;
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing ;
• Ability to supervise a project team and evaluate the costs of work ;
• Team spirit, commitment, autonomy and initiative.
