Front-End Developer

Founded in 2012, TickSmith is a young, experienced and dynamic FinTech company seeking an organized and motivated Front-End developer to join the team.

What you’ll be doing

You will be responsible for designing and developing the user web interface and visualisation tools of our flagship product that manages and consolidates huge data sets of financial data. You will be working with the team and the clients to continuously deliver features aligned with our vision and bring them to life using the latest technology within a highly agile test-driven development environment. You will be building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use, translating designs and wireframes into high quality code and optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of browsers.

What you’ll need

• Strong knowledge in JavaScript (DOM manipulation, JavaScript object model)
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS and good sense of UX design
• Strong knowledge with JavaScript frameworks (JQuery, React, Angular, Vue, etc)
• Experience with continuous delivery with Jenkins and DVCS (Git / Hg)
• A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization
• Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
• Ability to communicate (written and spoken) effectively and collaborate with customers and team
• Highly motivated and passionate about technology
• Bilingual (French and English)

Assets

• Experience with Bash & Unix/Linux platforms
• Automated test development experience
• Interest to work with backend technology as well (Java)
• Familiar with financial market data and/or trading systems
