What you’ll be doing

Founded in 2012, TickSmith is a young, experienced and dynamic company seeking a creative, skilled and motivated intermediate full stack developer. You will design, code and debug solutions. You will also be responsible to monitor and optimize them and to test and document applications from back to front. You will use Linux, the Hadoop ecosystem, MariaDB, Mule ESB and multiple other open source tools.

What you’ll need

• At least 3-years experience with Object Oriented Programming, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, JQuery, AJAX
• Experience and knowledge of Java and Unix/Linux platforms
• Ability to communicate (written and spoken) effectively and collaborate with customers and team
• Strong desire to learn new technologies
• Hands-on experience with SQL
• Highly motivated and passionate about technology
• Bilingual (French and English)

Assets

• Experience in scripting with bash, Perl or Python
• Hands on experience with continous delivery with Jenkins, Maven and DVCS (Git / Hg)
• Hands on experience with Tomcat (or any web container)
• Hands on experience with Spring Boot
• Hands on experience with Docker
• Hands on experience with AWS, EC2 and S3
• Hands on experience of Hadoop and its ecosystem
• Knowledge of Bootstrap 3 / JQuery
• Familiar with financial market data and/or trading systems
• Interested in machine learning and huge data set BI
