Description

Equisoft is a prime system integrator for the Oracle Insurance suite of products for Fortune 500insurance companies. Equisoft is currently looking for highly motivated candidates to join the company as Configuror Analysts.

The ideal candidate has superior analytical skills, insurance industry knowledge, a good acquaintance with programming concepts and databases. The ability to adapt depending on the platform and the willingness to learn and adapt.

Responsibilities

• Configure business processes based on defined business requirements
• Configure product features (such as calculations) based on product specifications
• Load product rates
• Define product parameters
• Configure access and security roles
• Use OIPA built in functionality where possible to meet business requirements
• Work with the technical team to ensure that integration points are supported through configuration
• Work with Quality Assurance team to help troubleshoot issues

Skills/Abilities

• A strong understanding of SQL and general database concepts, in terms of query building and optimization
• A general understanding of the various insurance and/or annuity products.
• Ability to self-start, multi-task and manage conflicting priorities.
• Works well in a team environment
• Communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Position Requirements

• B.Sc. with any science as a major (preference given to major in mathematics)
• Programming experience; specifically in procedural programming
• Experience with Policy Administration processes (asset)
