Job Description

In the role of Human Resources Business Partner, you will work closely with managers and employees in implementing HR programs and strategies, supporting the achievement of our business objectives for all business units located in Ontario, the Maritimes and Alberta. As a primary contact for all HR business related situations, your mandate will consist of:

  • Provide to Managers the HR expertise and assistance in people management within a changing environment;
  • Provide a proactive partnership to generate leadership skills and behaviors, supporting commitment and a positive working environment;
  • Participate with HR colleagues to develop programs and solutions adapted to our business needs and internal customers’ specific requirements;
  • Act as a change agent in the implementation and deployment of HR programs and policies as well as in other business projects;
  • Support management in Manpower Planning and ensure recruitment and hiring activities for internal customers;
  • Support managers in the management of difficult situations;
  • Drive HR compliance, work injury follow-up and ensure consistency of HR practices and policies;
  • Ensure continuous understanding of employees and management needs and propose appropriate solutions and actions to resolve situations;
  • Participate in talents identification program, coordinate and monitor succession plan;
  • Identify development needs for people in your business area;
  • Coordinate the welcoming and integration plan for employees in your business group and ensure follow-up.

Academic Education

  • University degree in Human Resources or Industrial Relations.

Experience

  • 8 to 10 years’ experience as a HR Generalist.

Additional Requirements

  • Member of the Human Resources Professional Association (HRPA);
  • Practical knowledge of employment, human rights, labour law and health and safety;
  • Excellent English writing skills.

Working Conditions

  • Full time, permanent position;
  • Occasional travelling to other offices located in Ontario, Alberta and the Maritimes;
