Industrial Designer

Our Client is currently looking for a talented Industrial Designer who is passionate about developing innovative design, detail oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced, multiple projects and team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Development of new products and takes the designs from concept through manufacturing.
  • Oversee current and newly developed products line lifecycle.
  • Setting-up new products for evaluation and testing.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3-4 years of related experience in product design.
  • 3D CAD proficiency in one or more of the following: SolidWorks, Rhino3D.
  • 2D skill with AutoCAD, Adobe CS suite.
  • Experience in bathroom fixtures and furniture, shower doors and exhibit design a plus.
  • Hand-on & strong mechanical aptitude a must.
  • Outstanding sketching, ideation and form development skills.
  • Good knowledge of assembly and part detailing.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting & building mechanisms, prototypes and jig.
  • Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes (Extrusion, Thermoforming, die cast, plastic moulding).
  • Multitask and manage own projects.
  • Good communication skills; bilingual (French / English).

Work location: Montreal.
Salary: $40K / Year.
