Job Objective:

Assist in the achievement, and act in support of, the sales of the company’s products and into the approved markets in support of assigned company goals and quotas in close cooperation with the other corporation members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Drive sales of all the company products, by developing, identifying, and securing all relevant direct sale opportunities.
  • Serve as internal sales support for pre-defined territory locations to achieve or exceed assigned sales quotas and goals.
  • Generate market interest and close sales by executing product and segment marketing activities such as: projects, surveys, campaigns, teaching, site visits and or promotions.
  • On-site product demonstrations and office tour for visiting customers as required by management
  • Actively solicit for all company product opportunities, referring leads as appropriate.
  • Partner effectively with the sales team to drive territory coverage and maintain positive relationships with all the customers.
  • Helping customers in identifying required products in close cooperation with the technical team
  • Helping customers concerning product availability.
  • Enter sales orders and communications in the company software system (ACCPAC/ CRM)
  • Place exploratory calls to prospect customers in order to qualify potential new customers for outside sales person (Customer Exploration Program)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Sales skills to include demonstrated closing skills. Prior attendance at formal sales training courses considered a strong plus.
  • Organizational skills for proper territory planning/management
  • Demonstrated record of achievement in prior sales related position preferred. Creativity a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written and telephone skills supported by strong interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team structure.
  • Ability to learn and retain product specific information as it pertains to the position.
  • Knowledge of electric motors and gearboxes.
  • Computer literacy required;
  • Ability to manipulate and manage spreadsheets.
  • Demonstrate an aptitude of selling Industrial products

Requirements:

  • Must possess at least 2-3 experience in the industry of electric motors or gearboxes.
  • Must be bilingual in French and English (Spanish a plus).
  • Possession of a post-secondary degree in technical studies (or DEP). 
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach).
  • Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Working Hours/Travels:

Must be flexible and have ability to work hours as dictated by assigned regional geography and may vary. Occasional evening and weekend work depending on business or customer requirements.

Travel:

Able to travel to customers/team sites as required from time to time.

Physical Demands:

Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds (25 Kg) on a regular basis
