Instrumentation and Electrical Supervisor

Our client, a major mining group, is currently looking for an instrumentation / electrical supervisor for its factory located in the Montérégie region.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the superintendant of maintenance and reliability, your job will be to plan, schedule, estimate, and supervise the work of a team of maintenance employees in order to meet operational needs, working alongside production managers.

• Supervise and direct your working group;
• Coach trades employees in order to optimize resources for maintenance and repair work, as well as encouraging employee participation in problem-solving;
• Make sure that work is carried out in compliance with maintenance standards and procedures, health and safety and environmental regulations, as well as the budgetary plan;
• Carry out various management activities and see to it that the collective agreement is applied;
• Liaise with representatives of the other departments;
• Work closely with the other departments of the factory;
• Encourage the participation of employees under your supervision and create a work atmosphere that helps them attain service objectives through communication, delegation, teamwork, and recognition of good results;
• Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

• College diploma in industrial electronics or other relevant education;
• Minimum of 5 years of experience;
• Hold a class C licence;
• Knowledge of Word, Excel, and computerized maintenance management systems;
• Management experience will be considered an asset;
• Excellent ability to relate to other people and to communicate.
