Our client is a company that specializes in the design, manufacture, and integration of a wide range of electrical and automation systems primarily aimed at the electrical power generation sector. They are currently looking for an electrical engineer (control and automation).

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the head of engineering, your job will be to actively contribute to various projects involving automation, as well as designing electrical / automated systems and programming PLCs. In addition, you will take part in start-up of certain projects for clients.

  • Design, develop, and program control and protection systems;
  • Carry out engineering and design work related to control, automation, and instrumentation for the various systems and pieces of equipment developed by the company;
  • Design and program the control logic of systems as well as user interfaces;
  • Perform the full range of tests at the plant and carry out the commissioning of equipment on-site for clients;
  • Take part in equipment start-up and ensure that required functionality and performance are respected;
  • Respond to invitations to tender and travel to our clients' different sites;
  • Design and program SCADA interfaces and user interfaces;
  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, automated production engineering, or other relevant studies;
  • Member of the Ordre des Ingénieurs du Québec;
  • Minimum of one year of relevant experience;
  • Thorough knowledge of programming automatons, human-machine interfaces, and electricity in general;
  • Proficient with the MS Office suite;
  • Functionally bilingual (spoken and written French and English);
  • Experience with troubleshooting and commissioning equipment in an industrial environment is considered an asset;
  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.
