Our client is a firmly established company specializing in the sales and distribution of instrumentation products, as well as mechanical process and valve control equipment, mainly for process industries, municipalities, and engineering consulting firms. They are currently looking for an internal sales representative.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the CEO, your job will be to advise clients about the various products distributed by the company and to present competitive proposals, always in keeping with the required customer service standards.

  • Process requests for information and orders from clients;
  • Enter orders into the computer system and follow up on them;
  • Advise and assist clients in the choice of products and technologies;
  • Build and maintain good client relations;
  • Prepare bids when required;
  • Perform a variety of product demonstrations for clients;
  • Work closely with other members of the branch in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction;
  • Assist with trade fairs, exhibitions, and conferences, when needed;
  • Keep abreast of all activities in your sector, with regards to clients, the competition, and products;
  • Take part in weekly and quarterly meetings;
  • Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

  • College diploma in electrical engineering or industrial electronics, vocational diploma in automated systems electromechanicals or electrical maintenance, or other relevant education/training;
  • Knowledge of industrial controls and/or automation products;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook);
  • Strong customer service skills;
  • Highly fluent in spoken and written French and English;
  • Experience with sales in the electrical sector is considered an asset.
