IT Automatisation Specialist

Role and responsibilities:

The IT Automation Specialist will work under the supervision of chief, Information Technology. His/her main responsibilities will include:

• Ensure the configuration of computered production equipment such as:
  • Optel Vision System
  • Control System for various pharmaceutical tablet manufacturing equipment
• Support the production team in the use of technological equipment
• Participate in the planning of the installation of new equipment
• Ensure link between various equipment and the production network
• Document interventions related to good manufacturing practices (GMP)
• Document the various systems to ensure quick and efficient support
• Participate in solving problems relating to software by studying the causes and implementation of appropriate corrective
• Participate in various activities of the IT department

• Ability to work effectively as a team
• Ability to manage consultants and contractors, while collaborating with several services
• Analytical skills and abilities to prevent problematic situations
• Excellent organizational skills, with method and discipline
• Interest in learning in order to be up to date on new technologies

Required qualifications:

• College degree in a technical program
• Minimum 5 years’ experience
• Experience with machine vision systems and technology (e.g. OCR, bar code, data matrix), an asset
• Experience with Optel products, an asset
• Experience with PLC (Knowledge of PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
• Very good knowledge of computer equipment (PC, server, network, etc.)
• Experience in pharmaceutical industry, an asset
• Knowledge of the GMP (CFR 21 Part 11), an asset
• Bilinguism: French and English, oral and written
