IT Technical Writer / translator (Bilingual)

One of our clients in the Manufacturing industry located in Montreal is looking for an experienced IT Technical Writer to join their team as soon as possible.

Specific Tasks

• Review, collect and analyze the IT technical requirements in order to document the processes, procedures, policies and work instructions
• Format and enhance documents with creative writing involving computer technologies specifications, visual elements (graphics, images, and charts) if needed
• Determine documentation requirements and content and makes plans for meeting them
• Review documentation standards and the existing documentation, create and/or improve documentation templates;
• Use word-processing, desk-top publishing and graphics software packages to produce final documents
• Prepare any required illustrations and diagrams for IT specifications and project requirements
• Develop a table of content for each document/manual and write or edit the required content
• Maintain historical records by documenting program development and revisions
• Maintain client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
• Provide user training for work instructions and/or any other software developments
• Test the new developments or functionalities

Experience/Knowledge

• DEC or University degree in computer science
• 2-3 of overall years in IT technical writing
• Office Suite; Adobe/Microsoft; EPDM; Epicor (asset)
• Working knowledge of technical matters should dovetail with the company’s technical expertise
• Bilingual advanced
