Responsibilities:

  • Prepare seasonal inspiration and conceptual presentation for the upcoming season.  
  • Identify seasonal color palette and key item for each category.
  • Prepare teck packs to be sent to overseas makers for sampling, verify and comment on samples received until approval for production.
  • Research of trims, graphics, prints and details on design of product.
  • Attend design fittings, offer input and ensure that changes are made properly.
  • Research emerging trends and styles to formulate strategies for projected lines including color and line direction.
  • Provide innovative designs and concepts to strengthen brand image.
  • Shop for trend development and inspiration.

Qualifications:

  • College degree in Design.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role as  Designer for Womenswear.
  • Proficient skills in Illustrator, In Design, Photoshop, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload according to deadline.
  • Be aware of the fashion trends / market.
  • A team player.
  • Bilingual (English and French) is a strong asset.
