Description

Aerial Technicians will work on a crew, performing the installation of communication towers. They will perform general ground procedures associated with the installation and work with various antenna and transmission unes. The Aerial Technician will work on communication towers incorporating proper use of personal safety equipment.

We are seeking for an experience foremen to perform aIl the duties associated with the installation of a telecommunication tower and related products

Responsibilities:

• lnstall cellular communication towers.
• Ensures proper inspection and use of personal safety equipment.
• Set up anchors for the guy wires and have them ready to pull the guys up to tension.
• Perform general ground procedures, such as assembly off towers.
• lnstall various antenna mounts and transmission systems.
• lnstall varlous ancillary items on the towers.
• Safely operate quick cut saws, drills and other electrical and hand tools used on site.
• Any additional activities as required for the successful completion of the project.
• Conducts inventory inspections and sorts received materials on site.
• Install various antenna mounts.
• Performing microwave antenna alignment.
• Must be able to read blue print and assembly drawings.

Qualifications and experience:

• 5 + years experience in Telecom industry​ as a rigger and a team leader.
• Must be comfortable working at heights.
• Able and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be willing to travel.
• Heavy lifting, manual dexterity and proficient use of installation tools are required.
• Valid drivers license.
• Successful compietion ofthe FirstAid course and WHMIS is an asset.
• Familiarity and experience with tower erection, antenna and transmission line systems is an asset.
• Construction experience is an asset.
• Good command of the English (or French) language.
