Logistics Coordinator

The Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the timely movement of product to meet contractual commitments and customer needs.

Duties :

• Ability to identify/manage risks and opportunities to ensure optimum results
• Research and determine best routing alternatives utilizing established contacts within ocean and inland freight industries
• Sound knowledge of export logistics processes and documentation requirements
• Attention to detail and thorough, accurate transaction records
• Negotiate carrier and supplier contracts and continually evaluate for cost savings

Requirements :

• Post-secondary education or related certificate program: studies or experience in "International Freight" (Not-negotiable)
• 2-3 years' experience in logistics for an International trade company
• Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset
• Strong Logistics, Warehousing, GMP, and Transportation background
• Microsoft Office proficiency, in particular, a thorough understanding and knowledge of excel spreadsheet functionality including formula use and manipulation
• Strong negotiation skills
