Maintenance Supervisor and Planner

Our client is a world leader with a reputation for excellence with their high-performance products, specializing in the manufacture of a wide range of paper products and absorbent products. They are currently looking for a maintenance supervisor and planner for their plant in the Outaouais region.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Maintenance Director, your job will mainly consist of planning and carrying out mechanical and electrical maintenance work for the production line for which you are responsible, as well as carrying out the preventative maintenance program, in addition to managing a multidisciplinary team of maintenance employees.

• Plan preventative maintenance as well as regular maintenance work for your production line;
• Provide supervision and management for your work team (electrical mechanics and mechanics);
• Work in cooperation with the operations department to set maintenance priorities;
• Ensure that the work is done in a safe manner in keeping with regulations;
• Coordinate maintenance work effectively with others in order to meet operational reliability needs;
• Encourage the participation of the staff under your supervision and create a working environment that fosters the attainment of service objectives through communication, delegation, teamwork, and recognition of good results;
• Find causes of failures or unexpected maintenance issues;
• Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

• College diploma in industrial maintenance, mechanical engineering, or industrial electronics, or vocational diploma in automated systems electromechanics, or other;
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing sector, including some years managing a work team;
• Good command of spoken and written French and English.
