Description

Reporting directly to the President and CEO, the Marketing Consultant will participate in achieving the company’s business goals by partaking in the development and deployment of brand strategies, marketing development and communications.

Main responsibilities

  • Take part in elaborating the marketing plan and ensure its deployment,
  • Establish an annual calendar regarding the company’s marketing, sales and communication activities, and make sure there is a precise follow-up to ensure compliance with deadlines,
  • Plan and manage all logistics (hotel reservations, sending material, etc.) and promotion (organize meetings, send e-mails) related to external events (participation in various tradeshows, conferences abroad, webinars, etc.) and some internal events (product/service presentations); represent the company at some external events,
  • Plan and coordinate the production of the company’s promotional material (brochures, banners, presentations, advertising, booths, videos, promotional items, etc.) and manage inventory; ensure compliance with graphical standards, so as to project a professional brand image that is constant internally as well as externally,
  • Carry out or coordinate regular updates of the Website, Intranet, and social media accounts; plan and ensure the dissemination of quality content (articles, news, publications, etc.) on all platforms,
  • Carry out or coordinate the layout of the monthly newsletter and ensure its dissemination,
  • Plan and ensure the production and dissemination of some publications (newsletter related to various business sectors, blank books, reports, market studies and competitive analyses),
  • Carry out or coordinate certain writing, proofreading and translation assignments,
  • Take part in elaborating and disseminating surveys,
  • Ensure processing of invoices and monitoring of marketing expenses,
  • Take part in establishing performance indicators and initiative measures,
  • Support internal teams in all projects related to marketing, sales and communication activities,
  • Work closely in conjunction with external vendors (graphic designers, printers, writers, translators, marketing research firms, public relations agencies, etc.), in order to make sure their work complies with established requirements, deadlines and budgets.

Requirements for the position

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Communications
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience (preferably in marketing technological or financial products)
  • Strong writing/editing skills
  • Excellent command of English and good command of French, both oral and written
  • Knowledge of Spanish is an important asset
  • Good knowledge of MS Office as well as Web and interactive tools (Web management tools, social media, etc.); knowledge of Google Analytics and WordPress are considered an asset
  • Initiative, creativity, dynamism, demanding and attention to details
  • Excellent time and priority management, good project management skills and ability to work with short deadlines
  • Able to identify opportunities and offer solutions
  • Able to work autonomously as well as with a team
  • Ability to learn and adapt (new tools and procedures)
  • Knowledge about the investment or insurance fields is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is considered an asset
  • Knowledge of print and electronic production processes is considered an asset
