CNC Machinist

Our Client, a leader in industrial machines manufacturing, is looking for a CNC Machinist to join his Team in his plant located in Montreal

Responsibilities:

• As a CNC Machinist, you produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine;
• Plans machining by studying drawings, materials, specifications, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters;
• Sets-up mills and lathes;
• Understands the G Codes and do set-ups on Fanuc;
• Loads machine by lifting stock into position;
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes;
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations; 
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; 
• Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs; 
• Documents actions by completing production and quality logs. 

Requirements: 

• DEC OR DEP OR Technical diploma in a related field; 
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position; 
• Must be a fast learner;
• Must be able to endure long standing hours, able to pick up parts that are large and heavy.

Permanent position of 40 hours/week

Working shift: Evening shift.

Working location: Montreal region
