Mechanical drafter - designer

Our client is a World Leading manufacturer of Aquatic Play & Urban Landscape Solutions. They are currently looking for a Mechanical drafter/designer.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the Engineering manager, the mechanical drafter/designer works in a multidisciplinary team that designs, modifies and value-engineers the various features and solutions used in our aquatic play landscapes. He/she is responsible for the technical drawings related to product development/modification.

• Gain a clear understanding of the functionality of the product design in order to translate into technical reality;
• Create, modify or review fabrication and installation drawings;
• Produce bills of materials for manufacturing;
• Verify the tolerance and dimension of materials used;
• Write product specifications and operation manuals;
• Archive drawings in documentation repository;
• Communicate pertinent technical products changes to all concerned parties;
• Knowledge of manufacturing and material limits;
• Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

• DEC in mechanical engineering or DEP in industrial design;
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience;
• Bilingual (English and French);
• Excellent knowledge of Autocad and with parametric 3D design software (Solidworks);
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment;
• Ability to perform moderately complex calculations.
