Municipal engineering team leader

Our client, a consulting firm working in the sectors of in municipal engineering and urban development, water quality and measurement monitoring, water purification, the environment as well natural environments and riverside development is currently looking for a municipal engineering team leader.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the company management, you will have as main mandate to manage urban and municipal infrastructures projects, and this from the service offer to the work supervision, including the design in addition to ensure the management of your team members, both in terms of assigning tasks and monitoring the progress of projects, using your extensive experience in civil engineering. As such, you will :

• Ensure team work management ;
• Assign the tasks and follow-up on projects ;
• Meet potential customers ;
• Prepare service proposals and manage bids solicitation ;
• Carry out customers, budgets, deadlines and invoicing follow-up ;
• Advise and conceive the best solution applicable according to the customer goals and objectives ;
• Delegate and supervise the differents technical steps related to the project (statements, scenarios development, etc..) ;
• Conceive projects together with the engineering team ;
• Write design reports and authorisation claims ;
• Write quotes and specifications ;
• Proceed to the plans and specifications verification and ensure site monitoring ;
• Perform every other task compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

• Bachelor in civil engineering, construction engineering, or any other relevant training ;
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience ;
• Experience in municipal services design (aqueducts and sewers) ;
• Be a member in good standing of l’Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec ;
• Proficiency in french and functional english ;
• Leadership and exellent interpersonal skills ;
• Have a valid driving license.
