Network administrator

Our client, a company whose mission is to manage, operate and maintain various transport infrastructures, whose activities are divided into engineering, construction and maintenance operations is currently seeking, in order to continue improving the quality and efficiency of its services, a Network administrator.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the IT Director, your main mandate will be the management of the administration of the computer network and computer systems, while ensuring daily support to users. In particular, you will have to ensure the design of the network architecture, obsolescence management, support, change management and application and security upgrades of corporate infrastructure and systems infrastructure. of intelligent transport. As such, you will :

• Ensure the monitoring, maintenance and availability of computer systems both in terms of client workstations, as well as the network infrastructure, servers and storage ;
• Work closely with the Operations and Maintenance department to ensure the monitoring, maintenance and availability of the infrastructure of intelligent transport systems ;
• Ensure the proper management of Azure and Office 365 cloud infrastructure such as Exchange Online, as well as computer directory services (ADFS) ;
• Ensure the proper management of the server and storage infrastructure such as the Windows Server environment, VMWare and Veeam ;
• Support project teams in planning and implementing changes to technological infrastructure ;
• Guarantee the proper management of the network infrastructure such as switching equipment, routers, firewalls as well as remote access management (VPN) ;
• Manage the network monitoring environment such as Ncentral ;
• Ensure the transfer of knowledge required to the team of support technicians ;
• Propose and lead technological infrastructure improvement projects to optimize the efficiency of technological exploitation ;
• Demonstrate openness and availability to provide professional and technical support of excellent quality to users according to their needs ;
• Act as a resource person, ensure the transfer of information and training for support technicians and ensure compliance with the procedures in place ;
• Work closely with the IT security specialist to identify vulnerabilities in the technological infrastructure, support penetration tests and apply security patches ;
• Participate in the implementation and scalability of the backup, IT recovery and redundancy strategy based on changes to the infrastructure ;
• Provide emergency operational support including triggering IT recovery in emergency situations (must offer availability outside working hours) ;
• Anticipate needs and see to the evolution of the technological infrastructure ;
• Perform capacity and performance planning analyzes to maintain a high level of performance and availability of the technology infrastructure ;
• Perform every other task compatible with your functions.

Required qualification

• Bachelor in computer science, computer engineering or any other relevant training ;
• Minimum 5 years experience as network or systems administrator ;
• Have excellent knowledge in managing a fleet of Windows Server servers, active directory, VMWare technology with VCenter, Azure cloud computing and Office 365 and the Veeam backup solution ;
• Have a very good theoretical and practical knowledge of IP networks, Fortinet firewalls and Cisco products ;
• Good knowledge of VoIP telephony, DNS management, VLAN configuration and extensive network knowledge ;
• Be familiar with the ITIL technological exploitation process ;
• Knowledge of the SQL Server database management system ;
• Demonstrate skills for drafting documents and reports including impacts / risks and means of mitigation ;
• Be able to manage several files simultaneously ;
• Have a sense of leadership, a good team spirit, analysis, synthesis, rigor and adaptability ;
• Show initiative and demonstrate good organizational skills ;
• Proficiency in French and English, written and spoken ;
• Hold a recognized Cisco certification such as CCNA (asset).
