Non-destructive Testing Inspector (Certified UT Level II by NRCan)

Our client is a young, dynamic company, firmly established in the field of inspection and non-destructive testing (NDT). They use inspection methods that rely on state-of-the-art technology. They are currently looking for a non-destructive testing inspector (ultrasound).

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the head of engineering and quality, the technician will actively contribute to the development of the company’s PAUT activities. You will also work on business development in cooperation with the sales manager.

• Prepare client interactions (inspection plans, documents, equipment, etc.);
• Supervise and carry out inspections;
• Calibrate and adjust equipment;
• Analyze data;
• Develop inspection techniques, methods, and procedures;
• Write up reports and procedures within prescribed timeframes;
• Train and supervise the team of inspectors;
• Report incidences of non-compliance and client complaints;
• Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

• Bachelor’s degree, college diploma, attestation of college studies in a relevant field (metallurgy, mechanics, physics);
• UT Level 2 Certification from Natural Resources Canada (PAUT training);
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
• Other certifications are an asset (CGSB, W178.2, API, ASNT);
• Functionally bilingual (French and English);
• Own a car and hold a valid driver’s license;
• Knowledge of software used for advanced UT and OmniScan equipment;
• Proficient with standard computer software.
