Outerwear designer

As an outerwear designer, your responsibilities will be to research the outerwear market for trends (materials, components, color, design concepts). You will work closely with your team to plan, create and develop and design the seasonal outerwear product lines. Consistently delivering innovative and appropriate design solutions with high taste level to meet the briefed requirements. Develop projects from hand sketches through digital line art, communicate your design concepts to team members including detail sketches and / or technical drawings. Refine design concepts in conjunction with design leadership, merchandiser and product development. You will work within target wholesale prices as much as possible, coordinating your efforts with production and sourcing to assure the most effective results. Spec sheets, lab dips, etc for sample direction by overseas factories.

You should have excellent drawing/sketching, presentation and communication skills. Proficiency in illustrator and photoshop, knowledge of outerwear design, materials and production techniques are preferred. Self motivated, focused, able to work under pressure of deadlines. 5-7 years of related experience required.
