VOLUNTEER OPENING
PHOTOGRAPHER

The Society for the Protection of Animals Canada (SPA Canada) is the largest Canadian non-profit organization dedicated to the defense of animal rights. Through various public awareness campaigns, SPA Canada informs and alerts members of society to the importance of the ethical treatment of animals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the tasks listed, other responsibilities may be assigned.
  • Take photos during our events and campaigns;
  • Possess your own equipment and software;
  • Where possible, compile/edit photos for viewing

SKILLS, APTITUDES, AND REQUIREMENTS

  •  Good photography skills, event experience is considered an asset;
  •  Development/computer skills are essential;
  •  Access to a high-quality camera and any other necessary equipment;
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Photo editing skills is an asset, but not a requirement;
  • Familiarity with, or ability to adapt to, a non-profit sector working environment;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Critical and analytical skills;
  •  Ability to listen to and understand the needs of others;
  • Dynamic, perseverant, autonomous and meticulous;
  • Ability to collaborate with different groups and to communicate ideas effectively;
  • Motivation to promote SPA Canada’s programs and campaigns.

SCHEDULE

Very flexible. Part-time OR full-time. Start date: as soon as possible

SALARY

This is a an unpaid position.
