RESPONSABILITIES
As part of our growth, we are looking for a Picker Packer for its distribution center in BC, Port Coquitlam. Reporting to the Outbound Supervisor and Distribution Center Operations Manager, you will be responsible to work within a team environment while performing the responsibilities as prescribed below. We will expect that you perform said duties while ensuring that both internal and external health and safety policies are adhered. You will be an integral part of the warehouse team with the primary responsibility of supporting the outbound team to ensure both internal and external customer expectations are met and or exceeded on a daily basis.
The ability to work well in a fast paced team environment is critical, and the individual must also be able to demonstrate Standard Products Core values that the company is modelled. You will be part of an energetic and dedicated team that plays a leading role in the sales and distribution of commercial and industrial lighting in Canada.
Your main responsibilities will be as follow:
- Accurately pick orders using RF equipment while meeting a minimum accuracy target
- Pick customer orders ata pace that allows the team to meet customer expectations
- Pick, pack and prepare orders for shipping with the goal to minimize service failures such as breakage and picking errors
- Work in a safe manner and follow all company and government related health & safety policy
- Perform sundry tasks and duties, as assigned by the outbound Supervisor and or Distribution Center Operations Manager
- Demonstrate Standard’s core company values
- Perform system guided replenishment in a timely and accurate manner.
COMPETENCIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
To meet this challenge, you must have:
- Fluent in English, oral and written
- Min Grade 12 or high school equivalent preferred
- Min of one year of similar previous experience required.
- Ability to spend long periods walking/standing
- Previous experience using SAP an asset but not required
- Previous experience using RF equipment an asset but not required
- Preference given to previous experience in operating MHE, e.g. reach-trucks/forklifts/power pallet movers.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong dedication to both task and team
- Detail oriented
- Reliable and Strong personal ethics
