Process Manager
Our partner, a multinational company in business for over 30 years and leader in it’s field, is looking for a Process Manager to support it’s growth.
Purpose of the function:
Develop knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing process and product and to control the production process to maintain a high quality product in all critical to quality criteria.
Ownership of the process and to ensure quality is maintained at all times. To monitor process variables, set process limits together with the Core Development Team, and take any corrective actions required to ensure quality of products are proactively maintained. To manage the engineering change control process.
To control acceptance of new developments or formulation changes from the NPD team and implement on the production line. Full ownership of all trials.
Key account abilities & tasks:
- Control plan from raw material;
- Running of process data collection and routine analysis with respect to process limits;
- Control chart / control limits established;
- Work instruction / Providing ongoing training support for manufacturing teams for process changes, new process introduction and other process issues;
- Training records for all new operatives and training records updated for all new product, process, and formulation changes;
- Take leadership to fix process issues (Six sigma approach, test in production / 8d, DMAIC);
- Management of his department / team;
- Development of critical process parameters and relevant process limits. Introduction of control charts and regular formal review;
- Implement of rigorous engineering change process in conjunction with NPD team;
- Provision ,support for quality issues related to extrusion products;
- Trials and data analysis of new products;
- Implementation of new projects and transferring of knowledge to operations staff and quality teams;
- Management of budget;
- Support operation and maintenance to fix issue.
Requirements:
- Degree educated in Chemical Engineering (Master degree is an asset);
- 10 years of working within a process engineering role and a manufacturing or production implementation;
- 3-5 years of supervision;
- Green belt Lean/Six Sigma certified, black belt would be advantageous;
- Knowledge in control plan implementation;
- Experience in chemical environment and chemical reaction / polymerisation;
- Languages: Good speaking / writing in French and English;
- Experience of statistical software like minitab and good understanding of statistical analysis of data.
