Quality Specialist

Specific Tasks

• Assist Quality & Lean Manufacturing Director in establishing, implementing, and maintain the company's Service Excellence program.
• Create and maintain company quality documentation, such as processes, procedures, templates, APQP related documents, etc.
• Responsible for suggesting/evaluating changes to the system, making changes to the system, working with departments to improve quality as related to the system, producing reports as required, and training personnel on the system.
• Develop and analyze statistical data to monitor quality performance and reduce nonconforming occurrences.
• Responsible for continual improvement activities to enhance the service, such as 5S, kaizen, lean methods, etc.
• Perform internal audits, prepare reports and meet with department management to review report findings and, as necessary, assist in the investigation of internal audit findings to determine root cause and corrective action. Perform follow-up internal audits and issue follow-up reports.
• Support for root cause analysis and implementation of corrective action for process related concerns.
• Provide QA support to other departments as required.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

Education:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality or other related discipline is required.

Experience:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the application of Quality Systems, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools and methods.
• Knowledge of the ISO9001 quality management systems standard

Software: Office package, Visio, Epicor

Languages: Good command of the English and French Language, written and verbal

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lead and influence while working in a cross-functional team environment.
• Ability to read, understand and interpret technical specifications & drawings, and standards & regulations.
• Ability to work under pressure of multiple deadlines within a continuously changing environment.
• Ability to prepare informative, well-articulated, concise technical reports and presentations.
