Process Technician - Microelectronics Manufacturing

Our Client, a Leader in the Microelectronics manufacturing industry is seeking a Process Technician to join his Team in the Montreal region

Responsibilities:

The Process Technician will provide process engineering/manufacturing support for all microelectronics processes.

• During initial product design work closely with quality and product engineering to define optimal materials, packaging, processes, fixturing, manufacturing flow and associated costs;
• Generate process documentation, and manufacturing support drawings;
• Support qualification, ramp up and volume production with proper documentation, fixtures, equipment and training;
• Familiar with SPC and Lean manufacturing techniques to optimize production process and yield enhancement;
• Support DFM and DFT activities;
• Perform different tests and troubleshoot when needed.

Requirements:

• DEC or the equivalent in Electronics / Electrical engineering with a minimum of 3 years experience as a process technician in microelectronics;
• Working knowledge of analog and digital electronics;
• Solid understanding of hybrid microelectronics, flip chip, MEMS, SMT processing including die attach, PCB and flex circuit technologies, Gold ball bonding and Aluminum wedge bonding;
• Ability to use SolidWorks, and or AutoCad software packages to generate layout and fixturing designs;
• Excellent experience with different probes;
• Familiarity with SPC and Lean Manufacturing techniques;
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities;
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment within a manufacturing operation;
• Self starter with strong leadership, communications skills and demonstrated problem solving abilities;
• Must be flexible in terms of job cross-training and department rotation.
