Product Developper and Sales
Under the supervision of the VP Product Development, this person will have to support the latter in his various development task:
TASK DESCRIPTION :
- Analyze trends in the soft bag market and assist in the development of new products, from design to production.
- Develop sales strategies and assist sales staff while selling on their own.
- Prepare monthly sales forecasts.
- Prepare cost and procurement programs for assigned clients.
- Understand and analyze the costs of each product, while negotiating with each factory.
- Prepare cost analyzes to maintain or improve gross margins.
- Ensure that products meet quality standards and requirements.
- Manage sales to assigned customer accounts, including the development of customized samples.
- Assist internal and independent sales staff (samples, training, etc.).
- Assist in the preparation of production schedules and monitor the progress of production.
- Perform other assigned tasks.
DESCRIPTION OF QUALIFICATIONS :
- University degree in marketing, administration, design or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience in design, development and marketing of soft goods
- Working experience with foreign provider
- Bilingualism (French / English)
- Excellent English and French grammar (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in the Office suite (Access, Excel, Word) and Illustrator. Photoshop an advantage
- Ability to work multiple files and / or projects simultaneously
- Team spirit
- Sense of organization, fashion and business
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively messages and goals of the company
- Have a high sense of detail and precision
