SolidWorks Industrial designer - Store fixtures

Our client a leader in store fixtures design and manufacturing for the retail and hospitality sectors is looking to hire a store fixture designer to join his Team.

Responsibilities

• Design elaborate  3D models and drawings for manufacturing using SolidWorks; verify drawings ensuring they conform to requirements and design specifications;
• Create and maintain a library of standard drawings for each product;
•  Create and maintain BOM for products and standard options in the ERP system; Establish 3D documentation of products and standard options (assembly drawings, exploded view drawings, manufacturing drawings, etc.)
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics
• Provide technical information and effective design ideas.
• Research and develop specifications used in the design process.
• Complete work in an efficient and timely manner.

Position Requirements:

• DEC or Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering or industrial design.
• 3-5+ years  working in manufacturing/fabricating environment,  preferably experience in the store fixtures.
• Min 3 years  experience with 3D CAD software; (Solidworks 2014 or +) or similar.
• Metal and Wood manufacturing processes knowledgeable
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Flexible and able to manage multiple projects at once
• Good structural or mechanical aptitude and knowledge
• Works precisely and pays close attention to details is meticulous.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and written bilingually
• Highly self-motivated, organized self-starter with ability to work in teams consisting of people with varying backgrounds
• Ability to ensure the successful execution of project and/or department goals
• Computer Literate: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook);
