Production Foreman

Our client is a company specializing in the design and manufacture of conveyors, specialized equipment, and components designed for grinding in quarries, mines, and other related industries. They are currently looking for a production foreman.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the CEO, your job will be to coordinate and control production activities and to ensure that productivity, quality, and safety objectives are met.

• Plan, organize, and control the plant’s manufacturing activities;
• Train, evaluate, and supervise the staff for whom you are responsible;
• Guarantee the compliance of production based on plans and specifications as well as client demands;
• Identify opportunities for improvement (productivity, quality, etc.) and actively take part in implementing them;
• Ensure that optimal use of human resources and raw materials is made;
• Create and maintain a highly motivated work environment;
• Maintain a clean workspace and healthy working relationships; provide constant support for workplace health and safety management;
• Lead meetings with your team in order to ensure that employees are actively engaged in work organization and meeting goals;
• Carry out any other task related to your duties.

Required qualification

• College diploma in administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, vocational diploma in welding, or any other combination of relevant education and experience;
• Minimum of 3 years of production management experience in the manufacturing sector;
• Knowledge of the principles of continual improvement is considered an asset, as is proficiency with CAD software;
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite;
• A good grasp of the English language is considered an asset.
