Production Manager - R&D Project Supervisor

Our client is a growing new company specializing in the manufacture of custom contemporary architectural products such as handrails, glass and stainless steel guardrails, staircase stringers, steps, and more. They are currently looking for a Production Manager / R&D Project Supervisor.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of company management, your job will be to plan, organize, supervise, and optimise production activities, as well as to actively participate in the research and development of new products.

• Carry out any other task related to your duties.
• Take part in research and development of new products and in improvements to assembly, packaging, and installation methods;
• Monitor the quality of parts;
• Help prepare bids;
• Solve problems related to product assembly and installation;
• Ensure that work procedures are respected;
• Coordinate, develop, and mobilize a work team;
• Track inventory and coordinate purchases with management;
• Manage production priorities and quickly adapt to changes and unexpected problems;
• Implement procedures to optimise stages of production;
• Carry out production planning;

Required qualification

• Bachelor's degree or college diploma in a relevant field (mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, operations engineering and logistics, administration, etc.) or other related education or training;
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience;
• Fluent in spoken and written French and English;
• Excellent problem-solving skills;
• Strong organizational and logistics skills;
• Proficient with standard computer software and operating systems (MS Office, Windows, etc.).
