Project Manager

Our client is a sizeable company specializing in the production of components made of composite materials that are used in the assembly of industrial and commercial products as well as in the manufacture of moulds. They are currently looking for a project manager.

Nature of position

Under the supervision of the CEO, your job will be to plan, organize, supervise, and monitor projects for which you are responsible, as well as being the liaison between the company and its client; this is to be done within established budgets and delivery periods while maintaining the quality of the product.

• Help write up bids and analyze bluprints and specifications;
• Follow manufacturing drawings and design tools;
• Plan and organize the full range of activities related to the project;
• Oversee production start-up;
• Estimate the costs and timeframe needed to meet client requests;
• Plan the steps of manufacturing, detailing the specifications with regards to the parts to be produced and the implementation of the logistics from the start to the finish of production (planning, coordinating, supervising purchases and delivery of materials, subcontracted services, etc.);
• Establish schedules and track progress made;
• Negotiate agreements with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors;
• Develop a working relationship with clients and meet their requirements;
• Provide customer service as well as technical support to the production team;
• Carry out all other tasks related to your duties.

Required qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, college diploma in mechanical engineering, or any other relevant training;
• Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
• Accustomed to working with CAD software;
• Fluent in written and spoken French and English;
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project;
• Knowledge of ISO standards is an asset.
